Welcome to Fujinoyu

We are a small hot spring inn with only 8 guest rooms, and we have private baths with tatami mats and a continuous flow of hot spring water that may be used free of charge, as well as meals served in your room.
It was established as an inn in 1887, and the current owner, the Futatsugi family, is the 20th. Many antiques that evoke the history of this hotel are on display in various areas of the building. Please relax and enjoy your stay.

Antique Gallery

The antique gallery has work by the renowned Japanese-style painter Saigo Kogetsu, artwork connected to the hotel, and antiques relating to Matsumoto Castle on display. Furthermore, antique items and documents that were handed down from our ancestors, who were closely associated with the Matsumoto Castle lords, are on display in various areas of the building.

The map of Matsumoto Castle we have in our collection is the oldest surviving picture map of Matsumoto Castle. As it is a 300-year-old historic document, we currently have a half scale replica on display in the hotel.
